How to connect Claude to your saved links (MCP)
Add KeepJar to Claude as a custom connector: in Claude, open Settings > Connectors, choose Add custom connector, paste https://api.mykeepjar.com/functions/v1/mcp, then sign in to KeepJar and approve. Claude can then search the links, posts, notes and screenshots you saved in KeepJar, read them, and save and tag new things for you, over MCP.

Step by step
You need a KeepJar account. Sign in to the web app with your email address; there's no password, we email you a code.
- In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste this URL:
https://api.mykeepjar.com/functions/v1/mcp - Sign in to KeepJar when you're asked to. KeepJar uses OAuth 2.1 for this sign-in.
- Approve KeepJar's consent screen.
That's it. Ask Claude about the things you kept, for example: "Plan my Saturday in Lisbon from what I kept."
What Claude can do with your jar
MCP is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to apps. KeepJar's MCP server gives Claude these tools:
search: find things by meaning or by exact wordsfetch: read one itemsave: save something newupdate_item: change an itemadd_tagsandlist_tagsadd_to_collectionandlist_collectionsarchive_item: archive an itemlist_recent: what you kept latelyweekly_digest
Every action your AI takes is listed in the web app, so you can see what it did.
What Claude can't do
Your AI can archive things but can never permanently delete anything. It never sees your sign-in or your capture tokens.
To disconnect, open Settings in the web app and disconnect Claude.
Other AI apps
KeepJar works with Claude today. Other AI apps that support MCP custom connectors with OAuth may work, but we have not tested them.
